For media having temperature of above 146°C STAR PIPE offers pipes with double insulation. First insulation layer around the service pipe is made of mineral wool coating halves. The wool used is non-flammable and resists the temperature of up to 250 °C. The second layer of insulation between mineral wool and casing pipe is made of rigid PUR foam.

Ordinarily a steel seam pipe is used as a service pipe. Protective casing is made of high density polyethylene PEHD.
